Side plate
These plates are thrown on the wheel in a white stoneware clay. I painted white slip on the flat centre of the plates after the first firing. It is the slip that accounts for the bluer colour of the inner circle: the glaze is the same but the slip makes the difference. Each plate is approximately 19cm in diameter. They are dishwasher safe but, to avoid chipping them, I’d recommend hand washing.
